Greetings from the church in New Iberia, Louisiana.

In February of 2005, our little congregation of of 34 families launched out in faith and began a gospel outreach program we call "In Light of the Word." This is a thirty minute television program designed to reach the lost and encourage the saved throughout Southern Louisiana. At present, the program is seen over three broadcast stations and fifteen cable networks throughout fourteen parishes (counties) of southwestern Louisiana. The program may now be seen online at http://www.video-sermon.org.

Each week thousands of people are exposed to the truths of the Bible and the Lord is blessing this outreach ministry. We had an average of almost 2,000 hits per month on our website wherein people are signing up for online Bible studies.

We offer free audio CDs and DVDs to the viewing public. Not only is this program designed to be "evangelistic" - it doubles in "mission" work as well. We know there are many congregations of the church too small to financially afford either part-time or full-time preachers. The New Iberia Church of Christ is currently furnishing free DVDs of our television broadcast to congregations all over the United states. With the Lord's help we will be adding to this list as time goes own.

2008 Goals

Our goal for 2008 is to continue airing the In Light of the Word  program- AND- launch another program we will call "Come to the Waters." This program will deal specifically with open Bible study questions submitted by our viewers. We have enlisted the assistance of several gospel preachers in the area to help field viewer question and promote the Word of God to the people of Louisiana.

The Competition

At present, we produce the only church of Christ program in the Southern Louisiana. Sometime we feel like David against Goliath. Our program is up against the likes of Richard and Lindsey Roberts, Kenneth Copeland, John Hagee, Kay Arthur, etc. - we believe there is still a lot of work to do through the medium of Television.

The Power of 300

300 Committed People + $120 each = $36,000

In the seventh chapter of the book of Judges, God used 300 committed men to defeat the overwhelming force of the Midianites.

We face what appears to be an overwhelming force. It will cost $36,000 to purchase addition broadcast equipment, purchase air time for the In Light of the Word broadcast and initiate the second program called Come to the Waters.
